Allegra White Resource in Questions
Why would my body be rejecting the white half of an Allegra D allergy pill? Sounds gross, but seriously I see the white half in the toliet everytime I take an Allegra D. And what part is the white part, the decongestant or the antihistimine?

Angel Eyes replied: "I've never taken Allegra D, so I may be wrong in my explanation. There are some medications (an example is wellbutrin xl for depression) which is encased in a white shell. This shell releases the medication into your system, but is not digested or dissolved by your system. It passes through your system and is eliminated. This may be what you're seeing. Now, if the Allegra D is part white, and part another color, then my answer probably wouldn't apply and maybe someone else has a better answer. But, this is what I've found with some meds. Hope it helps you!"

Why do I have a White Blood Cell Count? What does it mean? And What Can I Do? I am a twenty-one year old female who suffers from horrible allergies every Spring and recently during the Fall as well. I take Allegra on a daily basis and Benadryl at night when I get really bad, but on certain days nothing works and the allergies take a horrible toll on my body. Recently I had to take prednisone to get rid of the horrible swelling in my throat. I couldn't even swallow my own spit the pain was so bad! The doctor's thought I had developed Strep or even Mono and I was tested for everything. However, the only thing they found was a high count of white blood cells in my body. What does this mean having too many white blood cells? And what can I do to avoid this horrible pain of allergies and throat pain and swelling?

which half of allegra d 12 hour is fexofenadine? There are 2 halves one is white the other is tan.

Crouching Doggie replied: "It's the allegra... the d is the decongestant additive."

Ladyoasis replied: "I answered a similar question about Mucinex(which also have two colors). Usually, one color is the immediate release part (so the medication starts working) and the second color is the extended release part (to keep the long acting effect). So, both sides have both active ingredients."

I pooped out (literally) the tan half of my allegra d 12hr pill. What do I do? After going to the bathroom today, I noticed half of my allergy pill floating there in the toilet. The pill is white on one side and tan on the other side. It looked like only the tan side was left in the bowl, which I believe is the XR side. Anyone know what I should do so that my allergies don't bother me later? Is it safe to take another pill?

Silk replied: "Do not take another pill! Your body took what it needed and could use of the pill and the rest was eliminated from your body.It is not unusual for this to happen. Some parts of a pill, especially a capsule, the body cannot use or digest so it is just eliminated from the body. Do not be concerned if this happens and do not take another pill, you could get too much of the medication and actually overdose."

Red Sky replied: "holy halibuts thats hilarious"

It's official! What do you think of my twin girls names? White=last name Bricka Waterfall Dozer-Lou White Blanket Crepe Lunesta-Allegra White

Katelyn<3~ replied: "Very elegant :]"

Jacob's Mommy replied: "too long....yucky names too"

Randomgirl xx replied: "A Blanket of Bricks A waterfall flavoured crepe? do you really think you're children are going to be happy when they get nicknamed this at school!?"

amym1031 replied: "Those are the two most horrible names I have ever heard. Bricka? Blanket? Come on now, they're just ridiculously silly."

mom of two boys : ) replied: "ehhhhh...they suck"

Pink Lady replied: "Honestly... What can one say if it is official? Different and Long"

navyeyedleo replied: "I think they are too long..."

*Baby BOY due 2/14/09* replied: "im starting to wonder if you even are pregnant with twins.. sorry but i see several posts every day about your twins names.. and i have seen some from wonderland to very odd things.. this are HORRIBLE names sorry but they are.. any name you have ever posted (which is MANY) has been horrible and most not even real names.."

wendylotr replied: "lunesta and allegra...aren't those sleeping pills? i'm not really fond of those names, but too each their own."

Stephanie H replied: "The names are a little long. Also, although I am one who loves unique names, your names seem kind of odd. Aren't Lunesta and Allegra types of meds? Crepe is a food and Blanket's a thing. Just try and keep in mind how your twin girls are going to feel with these names when they grow up. If you are absolutely in love with these names then all of our opinions shouldn't matter. Good Luck and I'm trying not to sound too harsh. :)"

momohardhard replied: "adorable, so elegant and refined. they are two very lucky children. i wish you all the joy and happiness in the world on your new little additions."

heartbreaker. replied: "you need help. those are the stupidest names i have ever seen. change them! your kids will be tortured."

Poop D replied: "GAY"

Val replied: "im not being mean but i would hate it if either of those were my name."

*Kayla* replied: "what were you thinking these are the most horrible names ever what are your kids going to think when they get older like forreal now your kids are like going to change their names"

Baby Marilyn replied: "I hope you're kidding. Bricka is cute. But... Blanket, Dozer, Waterfall, Crepe (as in, french pancake?!). Oy. And Lunesta and Allegra- sleeping pill brands!"

dbunny replied: "I love the names... Bretta Lily Britt Alexandra If it were me...I would so pick Bretta and Britt for my twin girl names instead of Bricka and Blanket. Interesting choices, but my names are so much prettier and they won't get teased with Bretta and Britt verses Bricka and Blanket.. But, by all means go with what you want you are the one carrying them. Best of Luck and congratulations. I am sure either way they will be super cute kiddos!"

Julie replied: "I think you should try simpler names kids like fitting in and those will be hard to spell idk like maybe Hannah and Hope or Alyssa and Aliana or for boys Caleb and Spencer"

♥Amlie♥2nd Account♥ replied: "Bricka? Blanket? Waterfall? Lunesta? Dozer? Allegra? Are you absolutely serious?? Poor girls! xx"

♥ ßàߟ #2 due ∩ovembeℜ ! ♥ replied: "I think they're horrible Im sorry! If you have time before the due date please reconsider!"

jojobeanie replied: "yummmm blanket flavored crepes! aren't Lunesta and Allegra drugs????? (pharmacy ones, but drugs all the same!)"

Lamont replied: "WHAT? Crackhead! You aren't pregnant and it's not even funny that you would propose naming children this!"

zinamazing replied: "1) Bricka actually means lighter (the kind to light cigarettes) in slang Arabic. 2) Blanket? What? They're very long. And frankly, they don't make sense at all. Lunesta would make a very pretty middle name, though."

Cristina ♥wishing for baby♥ replied: "troll...2 points!"

♥dancer replied: "*Crossing my fingers in hope that you are a troll*"

Ayla A replied: "ew no"

Eva the Baby Namer replied: "those are the most horrid names i have ever seen in my life."

Zyggy replied: "Uninteresting troll. But I do like the fact you have Dozer (doze) and Lunesta (which is a sleep aide) that was a cute touch. But really...nothing better to do?"

Allegra D (allergy medication)? There's two sides to the pill (tan & off white) Which side is the fexofenadine and which side is the pseudoephedrine?

Can alergy medication have this effect? I started taking allegra D for allergies, and the first night a while after I had taken it, my wrist began to itch, and I noticed a rash effect. (it looked red with white bumps) I figured nothing was going on, since it began to go away in a few hours. But the next night, my foot started to itch, and I noticed the same rash. I read the ingredients and it said that the medicine was also used for treating hives. I found it quite conicendental. Could my medication be causing this?

Reproduced with permission of copyright owner. Further reproduction or distribution is prohibited without permission. Milan -- When Italian fashion house Gianni Versace SpA recently threw a cocktail party in the courtyard of its 16th-century palazzo to promote its latest creations, designer Donatella Versace ducked out of the soiree early, flanked by bodyguards. Instead, Giancarlo Di Risio, Versace's bespectacled chief executive, presided over an evening that highlighted luxury goods: Parked at one end of the courtyard was a half-million-dollar Lamborghini Murcielago with a black-and-white leather interior by Versace. A huge poster showed an AgustaWestland helicopter with a Versace-designed cabin. Stacked nearby was luggage embossed with the brand's Greek motif, with pieces starting at about $4,000. Mr. Di Risio is trying to shift Versace's attention away from clothes and to accessories, home interiors and other lifestyle products that will bring in new streams of revenue and offset fickle fashion cycles. "Fashion does not exist at Versace," he said, describing his strategy in an interview before the reception. The new approach is bearing fruit. Versace swung back into the black last year, posting a $25.4 million profit after years of losses, and has shaken off millions in debt. Driving that turnaround were rising sales in the lucrative accessories Mr. Di Risio is pushing. Yet the effects of the makeover have touched the core of the company's identity. Ms. Versace has begun taming the flamboyant clothing designs that once set her and the fashion house apart from the crowd. "I no longer recognize myself in that kind of woman," the 52-year-old Ms. Versace said in a telephone interview. The culture shift at Versace highlights how an increasingly competitive fashion industry is forcing even the most freewheeling players to embrace a corporate culture. Many labels, including LVMH Moet Hennessy Louis Vuitton's smaller brands like Celine and Marc Jacobs, have also been toning down their looks to appeal to a wider swath of consumers. Designers who once called the shots are ceding authority to executives who run the numbers. "In the beginning, it was a shock for me," Ms. Versace said. "When you tell a person who is used to being in power -- to saying yes or no on everything -- to take a step back, it's not easy. But it was necessary." Tweaking a label's aesthetics carries risks. If pushed too far, transformations risk alienating loyal customers, says Robert Burke, head of New York-based luxury-goods consultancy Robert Burke Associates and the former fashion director at Bergdorf Goodman. "You will always want to see a fashion edge to Versace," he says. Yet for family-owned fashion labels like Versace, pressure to make more money is high. They compete with publicly traded conglomerates such as LVMH and PPR SA's Gucci Group, which have the financial heft to expand with stores in the emerging markets of China, India and Russia -- seen as fueling the industry's growth. A number of Italy's top family-owned fashion houses, including Versace, Prada SpA and Salvatore Ferragamo SpA, are considering stock- market listings in the next couple of years. "An IPO would be the best way to raise money and implant in these countries," says Peter Farren, a luxury-goods analyst at the French investment firm Bryan Garnier. At Versace, a sobering realization is spurring Mr. Di Risio's moves: The clothes that once made the brand are now struggling to make money. In its heyday in the early 1990s, Versace stayed ahead of the fashion mainstream with lavish catwalk shows that celebrated the racy designs of founder Gianni Versace. The label amassed collections of real estate and artwork that enhanced the family's jet-setter status. The company found it increasingly tough to squeeze profits out of highly perishable fashions as production costs rose in Italy. In 1997, Mr. Versace was murdered outside his Miami villa. The firm's finances went into a tailspin, and it was forced to shelve plans to go public. Mr. Versace's 50% stake in the label went to his niece, Ms. Versace's then-preteen daughter Allegra Versace Beck, shifting the balance of power. Though Ms. Versace owns only 20% of the company, she was seen to exert huge influence because of her daughter's stake. A third sibling, Santo Versace, owns the remaining 30% of the company. Ms. Versace Beck, now 20 years old, manages her stake with the help of advisers. The Versace stakeholders decided the company needed a CEO who could turn the company around. Fabio Cacciatori, at one time an outside financial consultant for the company, became CEO in September 2003 but resigned in December. The company named Versace's then-Chief Financial Officer Daniele Ballestrazzi interim CEO as it searched for new leadership. When Versace recruited Mr. Di Risio from LVMH's Fendi label in the summer of 2004, the house was saddled with more than $146 million in debt and heading to a net loss of $124 million for the year, on revenue of $416 million. High-end retailers like Bergdorf Goodman had stopped carrying the brand. Bergdorf Chief Executive Jim Gold recalls that Versace was distributing too widely, diluting its exclusivity, and was overly consumed with making a splash on the runway. While many labels had started delivering retailers fresh designs more frequently, ahead of the runway collections, Versace resisted. Mr. Di Risio arrived with a new mantra. Clothing that is too fashionable, he told his lieutenants, is bad for business because it eats up capital and goes out of style quickly. Accessories and other leather goods are a better bet because they have a longer shelf life and fatter profit margins. To reduce Versace's dependence on fashion, Mr. Di Risio shut down lines such as Versace Intimates lingerie and Versace Young, a children's line. The company sold its unprofitable perfume, jewelry and watchmaking divisions, replacing them with lucrative licensing agreements with U.S. watch group Timex Corp. and Italian perfume and cosmetics maker EuroItalia Srl. Mr. Di Risio homed in on the company's shoes and handbags, which have higher profit margins because they cost less to produce than clothes but are easier to sell to a wide array of customers. Last year, more than 30% of Versace's $383 million in revenue came from accessories, compared with 4% when Mr. Di Risio arrived. He also expanded the label's push into home furnishings -- a business that generated sales of $82.5 million in 2006, up 55% from the year before. Versace recently unveiled its "Jet Seat," an aerodynamically-styled leather chair in a high-tech ceramic frame that is sold in Europe for 38,000 (about $50,000). "It was like taking a blank page and rewriting everything," Mr. Di Risio says. To succeed, however, he had to get Ms. Versace on board. She had hoped to resurrect the costly haute-couture fashion shows the label had discontinued before Mr. Di Risio's arrival. But he argued she could more effectively enhance the line's exclusivity by holding showings for individual clients. "I said to Di Risio, 'This is not going to work. This is going to die,'" recalled Ms. Versace. But, she said, "I was wrong, and he was right. We sell more now." Ms. Versace had to become more conscious of how much time and money the label invests in promoting designs at events like the Oscars. Last year, the designer dressed actresses Hilary Swank, Uma Thurman and Salma Hayek and director Robert Altman's wife, Kathryn Reed Altman, who donned a navy-blue sequin gown. This year, however, Ms. Versace limited herself to one gown, designing a rose-colored dress with a sweeping train for best-actress nominee Penelope Cruz. For Versace's ready-to-wear line, Ms. Versace is going for looks she calls "a little more understated." Bergdorf Goodman will carry her designs in the fall for the first time in years. Ms. Versace is also working more closely with retailers, adding four more collections beyond the traditional spring and fall runway collections. These are shown to retailers in private visits, giving them a preview of what to expect. On the financial side, Mr. Di Risio has untangled the company's assets from those of the family, selling property he deemed "nonstrategic" to pay the company's debts. The family's Manhattan townhouse was sold for about $35 million, and its contents went up for auction in 2005. The paintings alone -- including works by artists Andy Warhol, Jean-Michel Basquiat, Roy Lichtenstein and Julian Schnabel -- fetched more than $11 million dollars. Flagship stores in New York, London and Milan that Mr. Di Risio described as "decadent and sad," were redone with sleek, minimalist designs. The label, which operates 82 stores and has 35 franchise operations, plans to open more than 10 boutiques by the end of the year, including seven stores in China alone. When Versace opened the doors of its updated Moscow boutique in April, an array of leather bags, belts and shoes greeted customers at the store's lacquered ground-floor entrance. The label's ready-to-wear collection was relegated to the upper floor.

iknowsooomuch replied: "Do your own homework douchey."

Linda S replied: "In my opinion, the Versace label is nothing more than a shadow of it's former glory and nothing will bring it back. When Gianni Versace died, so did the distinctive artistic fashion vision of the label. Donattella does not have her brother's artistry and does not have his gift for technical innovation. G.Versace introduced light weight fusibles into men's and women's tailoring, and with that innovation creatively and artistically explored all the styling options offered by this method; ushering in the soft modern italian style of tailoring, which everyone uses. D Versace isn't capable of making a creative and technical leap of that size, she has neither the vision, the artistic skill, not the technical expertise. Check the dates and the numbers- Gianni's death is when the trouble started."

This is really gross, but I have to ask. Any ideas on how to relieve yourself of really hard stool? Please Help? I have been taking Allegra for about a month now, and three times (this would be the third) I feel like I'm trying (and if you would, excuse my english) crap out something alittle larger than a golf ball! It's just as hard too. The first time it happened, I was on the toilet for about 20 min, just straining and straining, and it finally came out. There was blood afterwards. Later that day the rest was runny but still there was blood. The next day and since then I have noticed that I have not been digesting half my Allegra. Half the pill is white a the other is tan. So, anyway the first 2 times I was able to get them out, but this time I was on the toilet for an hour! I was trying to get it out little at a time because I would get so tired from straining. It feels like it's right there but just won't come out for the life of me. I noticed that the area between the anus and vagina is hard as a rock and when I first sat down after coming out of the bathroom, it hurt to sit. My leg is also in pain it feels kind of like a Charley Horse or something. Please help? Thanks for all the help guys!

Jrdn<3 replied: "stool softener. from the drug store."

Neondusk replied: "Three cans of Red Bull and the Sports section."

Jack B replied: "No joke , drink a Mcdonalds shake , you will have trouble stopping going to the toilet."

Jessica S replied: "I totally recommend going to the supermarket or drug store and buying Dulcolax pills. Take one tiny pill and within thirty minutes you will be good to go! I had the same problems with pain pills from a surgery I had!"

amanda ohh replied: "milk of magnasia"

sassydude65 replied: "I found DUCOLAX works good. It is a "stool softener" more than a laxative.. Check with your Doctor to be sure,"

mosey replied: "Frist I would say, ask your doc for a laxative. Home remedies would include mineral oil found at local drugstore or buy Exlax -works good and so does milk of magnesia. Drink lots of water to help your digestive system digest and move your food."

Jackie R replied: "you really need to go to the doc. there are some things we just can help you with on this site. go to your doc. try a laxative and see whats up, that should help you a bit but, with the blood and the leg pain and the pain when you sit down, you should see your doc. i dont know why you wouldnt be digesting your allegra, but you should go see you doc if there is more of an issue then constipation, which it sounds like there is. hope you get through your embarrassing situation alright. :("

Bandolera721 replied: "first things first.....you need to stop straining and straining...it's very bad for you...you can get hemroids...stop now! nextly....get some metamucil...it comes in powder and other ways too but the powder is good.. you mix it with water..tastes like orange juice......it should soften up your doodoo! if that doesn't work.. then you need to see a doctor dammit!!!"

Sean replied: "Lactulose solution from your local pharmacist, my wife had awful constipation when she was pregnant and this was the only thing that worked."

kitty_katari replied: "Okay, before this problem gets any worse I would advise going to your doctor. You can try over the counter stool softeners, but if the problem is due to medication you're taking, you might need to consult your doctor about trying something different. Mention the blood to your doctor, but (as they'll probably tell you) it's likely that the bleeding is simply due to a blood vessel bursting from the strain of trying to relieve yourself."

Tracy S replied: "First, you should mention to your doctor the effect that Allegra is having on you. Possibly she/he could prescribe an alternative medicine that doesn't harden your stool. Some things you might try to soften your stool in the meantime: try using stool softeners like Dulcolax (http://www.dulcolax.com/com/stool_softener.htm), or even a generic brand should do it. Avoid foods such as bananas, rice and eggs as they are all binding foods. Instead, try to eat more whole grain breads and if you can, try to put more fiber into your diet. FiberOne bars contain 9 grams of fiber and just one a day will probably help you. Also, there's the type of powdered fiber that you can mix into your morning juice...hope this helps."

DukeofDixie replied: "Get Fleet enema, follow inst., then get on a daily fiber program, I buy the off brand fiber in a plastic container and use about 2 spoon fulls in a glass of water every night, they also have fiber pills you can take, you need to start off with a small amount and work up m if you take alot at first , it may give you diarrhea"

Rusty replied: "Bandoler gave you excellent advice.I would only add one thing, rather than taking a laxative try using a suppository. I have exactly the same problem you have and I am never without suppositories - they work in 15 minutes to an hour and do not give you diarrhea. I also take stool softeners every day without fail. Good luck."

Zen replied: "No joke dude, drink the juice of 2 fresh coconuts and have 5 bananas."

Susan Yarrawonga replied: "Binging on prunes, mandarins or oranges for a few days will get the system going."

How to get good Dreadlocks? I've ordered the stuff (comb, wax, accelorator, ect) from DreadHeadHQ.com but now I need someone with experience who knows how to do good dreads. I don't want them too small but at the same time I don't want to look like Allegra's Window. I'm white, but I don't know if that make a difference in what will look good. Should I make them all the same size or should I mix it up. If anyone has pictures they want to send be that'd be sweet. I just don't want to regret this so ANY advice will be appreciated!

a|i&0n replied: "http://www.dreadlocks.us/ these have a lot of pictures just remember that when you're through with the dreads, you have to cut them off =/"

beauty replied: "the best thing to do is find a locktician. if you live in a big metropolitan city this will be easy to do. if you don't find an ethnic hair salon that specializes in braids. they most likely do dreads too. if they do not they can refer you to someone. i always find that making your dreads symmetrical aid in styling later. if you want to do flat twist or an up do it makes it look more polished. now if you don't mind the kind of disheveled looked mix it up in size. you will need to re lock your hair about every 6 weeks to maintain the look. good luck..."
